Access Code Overview

What is an Access Code?

Access Codes are "keys" that work only with Showroom Landing pages.

When you direct your Buyers to your Landing Page, they will need to enter a "code" or "phrase" in order to be routed to a specific Presentation. This code or phrase is a custom Access Code you can generate.

Ultimately the Buyer will arrive at the Presentation page the same way they would if they were to follow the direct link (e.g www.brandboom.com/app/a/204B2715FEF) from an email.

We normally recommend that you use the direct link instead of directing Buyers to your Landing Page, but there are some situations in which you may want to set up a Landing Page. To learn more about Showroom Landing pages, see the article for Showroom Landing Page.

Generate an Access Code

Click the 'Share' button that appears when you select a Presentation to open up the Share panel.

Click "Add One" next to "no access code" or click on the pencil icon to expand the additional settings menu

Enter a custom phrase in the Access Code field and click 'Save'

When would I want to use Multiple Access Codes?

The main reason for creating multiple Access Codes is to set different levels of access to a single Presentation.

By having different Share Links, you can choose what to do with each one individually instead of affecting all viewers.

For example, you may decide to send one link to a segment of Buyers and deny access after 1 week, while allowing another segment to continue viewing with another link.

Deleting an Access Code

Access Codes allow you to provide multiple "doors" into a single online presentation page.

You can control the status of each one individually, essentially giving you the ability to open, block, or remove doors completely.

Active - Presentation can be accessed
Delete - Access Code will be removed completely.  The viewer will see an error page that the presentation is missing.
Expiration Time - Amount of time before the link will appear as "Expired"
Expired - Presentation will display as "Expired" to the buyer

Access Codes are not Passwords

Presentations are not password protected on Brandboom. Setting an Access Code simply provides an alternate route to viewing a Presentation.

Can I Protect my Presentations with a Password?

At this time, there is no way to protect a Presentation with a password on Brandboom.

If you are concerned about unauthorized viewers gaining access, please see the article Prevent a user or Buyer from viewing your Presentation.
