Modify Product on an Order Form

Overview

You can make quick edits to a product directly on an order form. For other changes, you will need to update the product from your Products page and then re-add it to the order.

Edit a Product

You can make direct changes to the following fields on an order form, as long as the order has not been exported:

  • QTY value

  • Price value

  • Product description

  • Add or remove a product

 

If you need to change other product details (like the color or style), you'll need to remove and re-add the product. This is because an order form can only display how a product looked at the time it was originally added.

Follow these steps for all other modifications:

  1. Remove the product from the order and click Save.

  2. Go to your Products page and modify the product's attributes.

  3. Return to the order, re-add the product, and Save your changes.

 

Troubleshooting

Why can't I edit a product?

If you try to modify a product that is still tied to other orders, you may see an error message. To fix this, you will need to first remove the product from all related orders. After that, you can make your changes and then re-add the product to each order.
