Enable Inventory Sync for the Shopify Integration

Enable Shopify inventory sync in Brandboom by adding the Shopify Inventory add-on, choosing how many shops to sync, and re-importing products to apply inventory and order export settings.

NOTE: Inventory sync is available for Startup and Business Plan users for an additional fee per shop/showroom.

Shopify is available to:

  • Free Users - Product import only

  • Startup/Business Plan Users - Product import, live inventory sync, and order export features (additional charges apply)

How-to:

Please make sure that you are already connected to your Shopify account. Check How to Connect to Shopify for the steps.

To Add Inventory Sync:

  1. Go to your subscription page.

  2. Click “Switch”.

  3. Select “Shopify Inventory”: Under your current plan (Startup or Business plan), select “Shopify Inventory”.

  4. Specify Shops/Showrooms: Specify how many shops/showrooms you want to use the inventory sync feature with. Please note that there is a $99/month charge for every shop/showroom that you want to use with the inventory sync feature. A maximum of 10 shops is available.

  5. Hit “Save + Pay”.

For Recently Added Inventory Sync:

If you have recently added the inventory sync feature and have already imported products from Shopify to Brandboom without it, you can:

  1. Go to your products page.

  2. Click “Import from Shopify”.

  3. Enable inventory sync and order export settings.

  4. Re-import with the correct Shopify settings.

Once this is complete, your inventory will be synced with Shopify. To learn more about ensuring your wholesale orders in Brandboom are synced to Shopify, please read the article: Exporting Orders and Syncing with Shopify.

Common Inventory Syncing Issues

Inventory Not Importing Correctly

If inventory quantities fail to import from Shopify, especially when using multiple locations, it may be due to confusion caused by inactive or unused locations. To resolve this:

  • Deactivate any unused Shopify locations that are no longer fulfilling orders. This ensures that inventory syncs correctly from the active fulfillment location.

Shared Presentation Links

Inventory in shared presentation links remains up-to-date as long as the link is active. Brandboom syncs presentation inventory with your account, ensuring that customers always see the latest available quantities when they revisit the link.

Preventing Product Duplication

Brandboom uses the SOS (Style ID – Option – Size) system to identify products. Here’s how it works:

  • If an imported item has the same Style ID but a different Option or Size, it is treated as a new product/variant and created separately.

  • Only items with the exact same Style ID, Option, and Size are considered identical and overwrite existing products. This system ensures that duplicates are avoided while allowing for variations in product options and sizes.

Managing Multi-Location Setups

Brandboom supports connecting multiple showrooms to a single Shopify store, with each showroom pulling inventory from a different Shopify warehouse/location. To set this up:

  1. Enable Sync Inventory and Export Orders for the additional showroom.

  2. During setup, select the intended Shopify location for each showroom.

  3. This ensures that inventories remain separate and accurately reflect the stock at each location.
