Associate an Order with an Existing Customer in ApparelMagic

Learn how to associate an order with an existing customer, apply matched customer details, and link Brandboom customer records with Apparel Magic when needed.

NOTE: Orders are not automatically associated with the customer information saved in your Customers List.

1. To associate an order to a specific customer, open the Order Form and click “Choose a Customer”.

2. The Customer Code Match window will appear, offering you suggested matches based on the information provided. Make sure to select the right customer.

NOTE: You can only select customers that are linked to Apparel Magic. Linked customers will have the Apparel Magic icon on their profile.

3. Once you select a customer, you will have the opportunity to choose what fields, if any, to overwrite with the information you have on the order. By deciding which set of information to use, you can correct mistakes or ensure consistent formatting. Uncheck the boxes for the fields you wish to leave unchanged.

4. Click “Apply” and customer code will now appear in the corner.

If your customer is on Brandboom but is not linked with Apparel Magic:

1. You can link it by clicking on the pencil icon of that customer’s profile.

2. Click on “Link” once you’ve checked that the customer information is correct.

3. Make sure that your Customer Code matches the Customer Account Name on Apparel Magic to link it.

You can also find the Account Number on Apparel Magic and type it in the Apparel Magic ID field on Brandboom to link it.

NOTE: If that buyer is not on Apparel Magic yet, a pop-up will appear to ask if you want to create that buyer on Apparel Magic.

4. Click “Save”

5. The customer is now linked to Apparel Magic! You can view the customer on Apparel Magic by clicking on the icon next to the Apparel Magic ID.

Please make sure to select a Division, AR Account and Category for your customer as well and these will be linked to Apparel Magic.
