How Commission Reports Work

This article explains how Comissions Report work - moving from a simple sale to a finalized payout.


How to create a Commissions Report:

  1. Click on "Account Settings."

  2. Click "Commissions" tab.

  3. Select a Showroom and date and click "Start Report"


Who can view the Commissions Report?

User Role

Showroom Commission Visibility

Brand (Admin)

Only visible if they are the assigned Brand Rep

Brand (Non-Admin)

Visible only on their assigned orders

Agent (Admin)

There are Three Stages of Commission Payouts:

  1. "--" - Invoices are unassigned and waiting to be processed.

    1. You can download a preview of the report

    2. You can either authorize or remove the invoice for payout

    3. You can finalize the report.

  2. Pending - Users select invoices to "Authorized for Payout." This will mark them as "Pending."

  3. Finalized - Once payments are verified, the Brand Admin finalizes the report. This locks in the commission rate/payout; they become read-only.


How to finalize a Commission Report

  1. Open an existing commissions report (Finalizing a report is disabled for current and future month periods; it has to be a previous month)

  2. Select all the invoice that you want to be included in the finalized report.

  3. Authorize the payout for the selected invoices.

  4. Click the "Finalize Report" button on the lower right.

  5. Successfully finalized the report.

  6. Users can now download the report or retract it.

  7. A finalized report is locked and the only way to unlock it is by clicking the "Retract Report" button. Finalizing and retracting a report creates order history entries on all affected invoices and returns.


Notes:

  • Brand Admins and Agent Admins can create a draft commission report for a showroom for a specific year and month. However, only Brand Admins can finalize a commission report.

  • Brand Admins are the only ones who can retract a commission report.

  • Duplicate report creation for the same showroom and period is rejected if the user already has a commission report for that period.

  • Creating a commission report for a period that has already been finalized is not allowed.

  • Agent (non-admin) users cannot create commission reports.

  • Accounts without a business plan cannot create or view commission reports.
